A Nash-moser Theorem with Near-minimal Hypothesis

A proof of a Nash-Moser type inverse function theorem is given under substantially weaker hypothesis than previously known. Our method is associated with continuous Newton’s method rather than the more conventional Newton’s method.

The Implicit Function Theorem and Implicit Parametrizations∗

We discuss a differential equations treatment of the implicit functions problem. Our approach allows a precise and complete description of the solution, of continuity and differentiability properties. The critical case is also considered. The investigation is devoted to dimension two and three, but extensions to higher dimension are possible. MSC: 26B10, 34A12, 53A05. keywords: implicit functio...

A Note on Global Implicit Function Theorem

We study the boundary behaviour of some certain maximal implicit function. We give estimates of the maximal balls on which some implicit functions are defined and we consider some cases when the implicit function is globally defined. We extend in this way an earlier result from [3] concerning an inequality satisfied by the partial derivatives ∂h ∂x and ∂h ∂y of the map h which verifies the glob...

The De Giorgi-Nash-Moser Estimates

with a positive constant λ. The equation Lu = 0 is then a second-degree elliptic equation. We also require the aij to be bounded and measurable, satisfying ‖aij‖L∞(B4) ≤ Λ with another constant Λ > 0. (In case you wonder, the radius ’4’ of the ball is to avoid fractions. Most of our estimates will be of the kind “some expression on B1 ≤ another expression on B4 ” and it would be unconvenient to...

The Kolmogorov–Arnold–Moser theorem

This paper gives a self contained proof of the perturbation theorem for invariant tori in Hamiltonian systems by Kolmogorov, Arnold, and Moser with sharp differentiability hypotheses. The proof follows an idea outlined by Moser in [16] and, as byproducts, gives rise to uniqueness and regularity theorems for invariant tori. 1
